Drop a pin at Westside Market. Interior designers, masterful decorators, and style-seeking homeowners are creating a well-worn path to the 50,000-square-foot shop on Augusta Road. With more than 300 independent booths, shoppers are discovering every item they need to outfit their home, from an on-trend refresh to a brand-new build. “You can find anything here,” reveals assistant manager Susan Clardy. “If you’re coming for a couch, you’ll find that—as well as all of the accessories and art that you’d place nearby. You can appoint every room in the house here; we have so many different themes, styles, and decor, from the chandelier to the floor.”

Westside Market originated in Atlanta in 2013, bringing a diverse and unique shopping experience to the masses. That first shop has blossomed into four locations, showcasing the wares of more than 500 “design-forward” vendors. Westside Market Greenville held a soft opening in December, as artists, decorators, and retailers moved in across the holidays. April featured a grand opening, showcasing wall-to-wall artwork, accessories, and furniture. “The space filled very quickly,” reveals Clardy. “We have a huge wait list that is approaching 100. That tells us people like shopping here, and vendors recognize that.”

Greenville hasn’t experienced a multi-vendor space of this size, offering vintage and new housewares, since Palmetto Home & Garden closed more than five years ago. Professionals and do-it-yourselfers have been waiting for such a target-rich environment that isn’t, well, Target. “We can tell when someone is new,” reveals Clardy. “They’ll walk in and go, ‘Wow!’ They start picking up pillows and walk around and try them on different couches. They’ll match a picture frame with a lamp, a lamp with artwork. We have so much inventory, they quickly find out there’s no need to go anywhere else.”

That inventory includes lush, upholstered goods from Design Resource Gallery, Greenville-themed candles from Windham Wicks, and ideas and inspiration from Hennessee Haven. Several local family businesses have set up satellite space inside the market, including Rustic II Refined and Up 2 Us Furniture. Cofounder and owner of Up 2 Us Kenna Day says her family has been very pleased. “We love it,” she exclaims. “We sell a lot of sectionals, upholstery, and swivel chairs there. We’ve had a lot of people visit our store on Woods Crossing because they saw our furniture at Westside Market. It’s working out so well.”

Homeowners will admit it’s working out well for them, too. Who wouldn’t want high style and quality design, for every room and taste, under one roof?

Can’t-miss booth at Westside Market

Rustic II Refined earned an avid following with its first location in the Five Forks area of Simpsonville, and with a booth at Westside Market, they offer another convenient spot for shoppers to grab gifts and decor, including Porch View Home candles, tabletop pieces, coffee table books, antiques, and lighting.

Founder Kerry Minten first opened a store in Wisconsin in 2000, and then she and her family brought their expertise South when they moved to the Upstate. Daughters Chelsey Tourville, an interior designer, and Hailey Minten, a sales and marketing specialist, are part of a team that prides itself on unique finds.

Whether you’re seeking chairs that make a statement or a string of beads to accent a centerpiece, you’ll find it here, along with a plethora of gift options, including comfy loungewear.

Find them in Westside Market at Booth 804, or in Simpsonville at 117 Batesville Rd. Ste. 100.
