This home in The Cliffs at Mountain Park is packed with features that allow the homeowners to relax, entertain, and spend as much time as possible outdoors—almost year-round. With a pool and cabana, a pizza oven, a bar area, and lovely landscaping, the outdoor space reflects the work of multiple teams that came together to achieve the homeowners’ goals. Larry Wolf of Fairview Custom Homes, Diane Laskoski of Villa Verona Design, and Michael Santana of Fusion Audio + Video, shared a few details with us.

Larry Wolf of Fairview Custom Homes says the biggest challenge in creating the space was making sure that all of the electrical and water elements were in place for the kitchen, television, and other key features. Fusion Audio + Video was part of the early planning stages with the builder and designer to ensure seamless integration.

For Diane Laskoski at Villa Verona Design, the challenge was designing the outdoor spaces in a way that would embrace each view and avoid obstructing the landscape.

High-Tech Outdoor Space Photos

“A custom swinging bed was added as a stand-out relaxation feature,” says Diane Laskoski. “We placed it in the perfect spot to capture the mesmerizing view.”

The Forno Bravo pizza oven shows off custom tile. The team used a crane to lower it onto the countertop.

The outdoor kitchen area features Doggett Mountain stacked stone, powder-coated stainless-steel cabinetry, and quartzite countertops.

The Samsung Terrace television was designed specifically for outdoor use, with a UV-resistant screen, higher brightness, and anti-glare technology. It can operate in extreme heat and cold, according to Michael Santana, a technology consultant at Fusion Audio + Video.

A fire table adds warmth and ambience, extending the use of the space during cooler evenings.

A long row of bar seating “serves as a transition between the indoor and outdoor areas,” Laskoski says, noting that it also accommodates crowds for entertaining. A carpenter custom-made the windows to allow guests to interact across both spaces.

Tech Features

Laskoski worked with Fusion AV to add an all-on/all-off feature to simplify lighting and technology.

The homeowners wanted plenty of tech for entertainment, security, and connectivity, but wanted to keep it in the background instead of dominating the space. Fusion designed a custom system that includes Luma surveillance cameras, Origin Acoustics speakers, and an Araknis network for Wi-Fi coverage. The entire system is operated through Control4, using handheld remotes or an app on their devices.
