Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean you have to put away the bright accents and peaceful pastels that can add coziness to your rooms.

Pinks and pale greens may not be the typical holiday shades, but artist Audrey Gore shows us how you can incorporate those into your winter mix with velvety chairs, pastel blooms, and local art featuring painterly pops of color.

Early Winter Mood Board

  • Taylor Johnson Interiors incorporates bright pops of color when setting the table for dinner parties.
  • Delicious charcuterie by Chad Gangwer is always an easy option for hosting.
  • Make use of excess pine cones as winter decor.
  • Custom gift boxes by The Proper Box are lovely for special gatherings
  • ‘Tis the season for tapered candles! Stock up on a variety of colors offered by Diggs Designs.
  • Gift an original painting by Mimi Wyche to a loved one by visiting MimiWycheStudio.com.
  • Have fun using lots of greenery and pastels like Kelly Ford used in her holiday centerpiece designs.

Late Winter Mood Board

  • After the holiday craze, focus on sprucing up your dining room using this lovely design by Duo Design Studio.
  • Locke Interiors incorporates custom drapery for an extra layer of warmth and texture.
  • Hot beverages always taste best in a handmade mug like these by Maryfrances Carter.
  • Ron Nicole’s art is a creative way to add florals to your home year-round.
  • Knit blankets are a cozy addition, perfect for curling up with a good book.
  • Wall murals like this one by Marian Pouch, are a fun way to add pattern to your walls without committing to wallpaper during the slow winter months.
