“It was June, and the world smelled of roses, the sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside.” – Maud Hart Lovelace
How can you not enjoy summer? Yes, it gets rather hot, but I’ll take the heat over the cold any day. And if it gets a bit overbearing, we can always head to the beach. Or to the mountains. Or to the lakes. Our options are better than most.
This summer issue is plentiful with inspiration for a great summer experience. Offerings included are a refreshing punch in What to Drink; something healthy to eat can be found In The Garden; if you want to add some personality to your outside space, look for Outdoor Living; if you’re looking to give your home a place to enjoy all year turn to Periscope; and a delightful return to the past can be found in Treasure.
As per usual, three lovely homes are included in this issue. One in Greenville, one in The Cliffs of Mountain Park, and one on Lake Keowee. Each home has been custom-designed and built by some of Greenville’s finest architects and builders. And the interior designs will give you lots of inspiration. One of the homes is owned by an interior designer who also owns a beautiful shop in Travelers Rest. As always, we are grateful for the homeowners who willingly share their homes with us.
There’s more that I could talk about, but I don’t want to delay you from finding all the additional interesting features in the issue.
One more thought of summer:
“Summer’s lease hath all too short a date.”- William Shakespeare
